This is a summary of what we offer, how we work, how we approach our relationships with customers and how we charge.
Formation
Founded in 2000, i-KOS is led by its principal shareholders and directors Myles Davidson and Richard Jones. Myles has a background in print media and publishing while Richard’s is in software application development and content management.
'Multi-channel' Services
We provide design and fulfillment services for print, multimedia (CD/DVD), and web-based communications, marketing and sales. Working with trusted suppliers, we can deliver anything from advertising copy to a complex web content management and trading platform. If we can’t help you we will put you in touch with those who can.
Design and Technology
i-KOS offers creative and technical services to business. i-KOS wholly owns the proprietary web platform and applications development service known as ‘SiteSolved’ - visit the sitesolved website. In practice you will always be dealing with i-KOS. We can, if required, provide pure design or technology-based services, working with your preferred suppliers.
Style
We take a close interest in our customers and their business needs. Before offering our services we like to be sure we have a clear understanding of your objectives and that we can meet them. We take a professional approach to setting and managing expectations. While we favour a flexible and informal approach, we also value the discipline of well-kept documentation.
Process
Our usual process involves three simple stages: first contact, evaluation and implementation.
Our first contact with you is intended to establish a personal connection, to listen and to explore how we might be of service. Only in exceptional circumstances would we charge for our time or expenses involved in meeting with you. We will then report to you within five days with our recommendations.
Evaluation involves developing a detailed proposal as to precisely what is to be done and how it is to be achieved. This is something that can only be done effectively with your active participation so as to arrive at a plan that is clearly expressed and understood. The time and effort involved varies according to the complexity of the project. We usually charge for our work during this stage, as this is akin to the 'blueprint' for your project
Once the goals and full scope of the project is understood and agreed by all participants, we ‘go to work’ on implementing the services required to meet the detailed proposal.
We use project management tools and process ensuring each project has ‘milestones’ where possible. Our payment structure is therefore usually tied into measurable targets.
Fees and Charges
We have a simple fee structure for time-based work, as distinct from project-based charging and retainer arrangements. Details can be found in our schedule of fees and charges - submitted with our proposals.
We believe in complete transparency with regard to costs and want to be sure that you clearly understand the cost implications of any project we are engaged in for you.
Business Terms and Conditions
We prefer to keep these plain and simple. Every proposal we produce incorporates our business terms and every customer receives one. Our primary concerns are clarity and responsibility.
