One of the key areas of expertise for the technical creative teams at i-KOS is Content Management. Various members of the team have worked on design and implementation of global content mangement platforms for blue chip clients.
SiteSolved - Enterprise Content Management
Having experienced the pitfalls and expense of many well-known commercial content management products on the market, i-KOS made the decision in 2001 to start developing its own proprietary web based content management system - aimed at 'small to medium enterprises'. This product, christened SiteSolved, was launched in 2002.
Modular Approach
The system was designed using a modular approach so that clients could, if necessary, obtain just the pieces of functionality they required for their immediate needs. In this way, their web project could be tailored not only to their budget, but to their available resources.
New modules could be added over time so that the website could grow with the company or market.
Platform Independence
SiteSolved was developed using Enterprise Java (J2EE) which allows it to be deployed onto almost any server or operating system. The web interface has been designed so the client can easily update their site on any desktop platform.
The Perfect Web Toolkit
The modular nature of SiteSolved has allowed i-KOS to engage in a number of bespoke web application development projects at budgets that would normally mean the project was unachievable. The existing SiteSolved modules are used to implement the basic functionality of the web application and new modules are created or modified to meet the bespoke requirements of the client.
