DRUPAL FROM SCRATCH (ONE DAY)

Designed for beginners who are completely new to Drupal and who therefore need a course that goes right from the basics of installation through to the key elements of site building and development.

No prior Drupal experience is necessary although it might be prove useful that you have experience of web content mangement per se. There is no requirement for any coding ability for this course.

DRUPAL SITE BUILDING (ONE DAY)

This builds on the Drupal From Scratch course to reinforce what you have already learned and to extend your skills covering advance topics such as more feature-filled content types, dynamic views, display suite, context block organisation, the essentials of SEO, and a whole lot more.

The prerequisite for this course is the Drupal from scratch but there is no requirement for any coding ability for this course.

DRUPAL THEMING (ONE DAY)

This course builds on Drupal Site Building day to introduce best practices, tips and tricks, specific tools, and advanced theming skills such as how to get inside Drupal and alter mark-up before it becomes redndered HTML.

There is a small amount of coding in the second half of this course but no previous Drupal coding experience is assumed. A little PHP experience would prove useful although it is not essential.

DRUPAL SEO AND THE SEMANTIC WEB (HALF DAY)

A practical half day workshop focussing on how to make an existing site (your own site if you so choose) as SEO-friendly as possible.

There is no requirement for any coding ability for this course.

DRUPAL COMMERCE (ONE DAY)

A one day intense course introducing the Drupal Commerce e-commerce suite. The prerequisite for this course is the Drupal from scratch but it is also suitable for any experienced Drupal 7 site builders and developers.

DRUPAL CODING FOR BEGINNERS (ONE DAY)

This course is designed for Drupal site builders and/or themers who have not yet taken the plunge into coding.

The course assumes no previous coding knoweldge but nevertheless you will get to the point where you can confidently override templates, write theme functions, write pre-process functions and write simple modules the change the functionality of Drupal - in short, make Drupal look and feel the way you want it.

There are no pre-requisite courses but it is assumed that you are already a competent Drupal site builder.

DRUPAL MODULE DEVELOPMENT (TWO DAYS)

The full monty for developers; this course builds on all the previous ones to introduce the Drupal API, hooks etc.
Over the two days, you will build a full working module as the vehicle for learning.
You will be coding right from the outset in this course and whilst you do not need to be a PHP expert, some previous exposure to PHP is advised.
