Senior Web Developer
Job Title: Web Developer / 1st Line Support
Hours: 9.00-5.30PM Mon - Fri
Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays and statutory holidays
Location: 4 Twisleton Court, Priory Hill, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2EN
Outline of Responsibilities
1st Line Support
• First line support for queries relating to the companyʼs Content Management System
• Dealing with queries for clients regarding the day to day use of the software
• Logging all support calls to project tracking software
• Resolving issues with the Content Management System to clientʼs satisfaction
• Logging all time spent on a support issue is recorded to the correct client
• Recording detailed information and escalating any issues that cannot be resolved to Technical Director
• Feeding back information to the client regarding the resolution of their issue.
Project Work / Web Development
• Website template builds for the Content Mangement System
• XHTML, CSS and javascript required
• Image manupulation
• Use of Photoshop to prepare images for use on the Internet
• Website Builds
• Build of website content in the Content Management System based on project specifications
• Client Training
• One to one training with clients on how to manage their website going forwards
Management of Outsourced Work
• Oversee projects that have been outsourced to freelance developers
• Check and correct freelance work coming back in
Server Support
• Management of i-KOS hosted servers to ensure smooth running of customer sites
• Liaising with the hosting centre to ensure correct configuration of servers and firewall
• Remote reboots and patches where required
Out of Hours Support
• Where required, any critical support tasks out of office hours. You would be compensated for work completed whilst "on call"
Qualifications
Qualified to degree level in a related discipline such as multimedia or computer science.
Skills
XHTML, CSS, Javascript and Photoshop are essential
XML, XSLT, and advanced Javascript (AJAX) would be helpful as well.
Other information
Car parking is provided
Some training may require off site visits to clients. An applicant with a full driving license would be
preferred.
Applicant would be supplied with a Laptop and phone for out of hours support.
